IMCS MADE A VIDEO FULL OF EMOTIONS SHOWS REFUGEES CHALLENGES
IMCS Pax Romana organised a study session in Foligno Italy from the 28th August to 8th September under the theme “Building bridges: protecting migrants by empowering students”. This session organised in collaboration with Caritas Foligno had the participation of 38 students from 27 countries . While having capacity building sessions, the participants with the coordination of IMCS International Media Team participate in a shooting session with the theme of Refugee. Inspired by true stories they collected, they produce this short film of 5 min to raise awareness on the challenges of refugees and the necessity to act for the respect of their dignity. The principal actress of this short film, Angel Xavier Jothi, is the winner of the first price of IMCS International Short FIlm Festival 2017.
This 5th October 2017, this film was officially launched on the official pages of the movement with this message :
“IMCS Pax Romana as a global family of Catholic students, continues the call for mobilization at all levels in order to help refugees. You can sometimes say “what can I do to change the situation?” There are many ways in which all of us can help. A prayer, a small donation to organizations providing support to migrants in general, a message of solidarity on social networks, a letter of solidarity, voluntary participation in humanitarian actions, etc. All this helps to solidify the response that our humanity brings to their situation. As long as this crisis lasts, it will be a shame for us. We can not remain indifferent to the great vulnerability faced by thousands of migrants.
Are you determined to do something?
Watch this video, think about it, share it and join us in this awareness raising campaign.
Let us join our hearts and hands with all these brave people who made support to refugees a mission.” #IMCSForMigrants2017
